Chicago Hotel Suggestions?

My boyfriend is coming in from overseas in the middle of february for a few weeks, were planning on staying downtown chicago for a few nights during the week(probably tuesday & wednesday) Which hotels would you recommend and why, so far ive narrowed them down to the omni, palmer house, hotel71, the westin, and dana hotel and spa. They all seem very nice with their own unique characteristics so im having a tough time! Your feedback would be wonderful!
