My friend is experiencing some confusing signals in a paranormal sense?

The Native Americans used to be able to hear the wind, it did speak to them .Some of the Holy men or Shamans were able to interpret what they heard. Sometimes it was the spirits of past loved ones ,, sometimes it was the "Great Spirit" Wankan tonka , or sometimes it was the wind itself, speaking of the changes to come. To some it may sound crazy, to the Native Americans it was quite natural, much like the wind itself.
