Preventing calculus buildup on lower teeth and dental appliances?

Despite spending a fortune on electric toothbrushes and irrigaters I aculate hard calculus deposits on my teeth and dental appliances. I have soaked the appliances in white vinegar with some success but I'm afraid of damaging them. I am extremly alkaline having to supplement Hydrochloric Acid.
