What song is this that i heard?

i got to the movie theater about 20 minutes early last week. they were showing adds for local things, but played music instead of commercial sound. One of the songs was kris allen's live like we're dying. i cant remember the name of the other lady, it was an american idol person, but i dont think she won. it wasnt a country song, and i'm guessing its pretty new. sorry for not very much info.
